Summer Camps

Camp Themes for 2017

You Can’t Do That

This camp favorite allows you to enjoy the things that you just don’t do. You’ll have fun doing normal camp activities and unexpected crazy moments like: slinging mud, getting slimed, having ice-cream for breakfast, and many more! The Road Trip Version adds in off-site day trips throughout the week.

Spy Camp

Come to camp and be a member of our secret service. You’ll spend the week learning about the “Secret Agent” that you can add to your life, while experiencing demonstrations of action, skill, speed, and bravery.

Wet, Wild, and Waterlogged

At the beach, in the water or canoes, paddle in hand; experience a wet week packed with water games and wet activities every day. Soak your body and soul while learning and growing in faith.

Wild West

Learn to shoot archery, sit around the campfire and hear tall tales of cowboys, solve a mystery down at the farm, and other wild west activities.

Moonlight Madness

Make memories under the stars during Moonlight Madness. Enjoy cooking out under the stars, glow stick games, cosmic bowling, night swims, and more. You’ll also enjoy an offsite trip of laser tag. Make new friends and bond with God on this amazing late-night adventure.

Today at 12:00--A Call to Prayer led by the Crossroads District: In the recent months and days we, as a nation, have experienced disaster and tragedy. Let us come together in a time of prayer for all the victims and their families who have suffered hurt and loss from the recent tragedy in Las Vegas, the hurricanes in Texas, Florida, and Puerto Rico. On Wednesday, October 4th at Noon, wherever you are, we ask that you join together with us in prayer. Let us offer up prayers as one voice - prayers of comfort and hope, for safety and peace throughout our nation and the world. Please set aside time Wednesday 12 noon - 12:15 for prayer. We are not meeting in a designated place, but please feel free to gather a group in your church, home, place of business, or wherever you choose.Let us as the Body of Christ cry out before God, Lord heal our land. In Jesus’ name. Amen. Crossroads District Prayer Leader, Rev. Karen Williams I have included a prayer you may choose to pray: A PRAYER FOR SUCH A TIME AS THIS Almighty and gracious God, Hear our prayer as we cry out for help. Comfort those who have suffered hurt and loss, strengthen and encourage all who have felt the pain and fear from the devastation around us. Bless, O Lord, your people and fill our hearts with praise and thanksgiving for your continued protection and love that sustains us. Draw us together as one body so that we may go forward to bless one another offering help, hope and peace in Jesus’ name. Amen. Forwarded by: Rev. John HIce, Crossroads District Superintendent, Detroit Conference of the United Methodist Church,
