Lake Huron Retreat Center — your peaceful antidote to today’s busy lifestyle. On the “sunrise” side of the “mitten” state, you’ll wake up to expansive views of Lake Huron. Located just north of Port Huron, Michigan, Lake Huron Retreat Center is a full-service adult retreat center dedicated to Christian hospitality connected with the United Methodist Church. You’ll find its popular meeting rooms, chapel, dining hall and guest rooms are comfortable and modern. It has been a place for spiritual renewal and family time for 75 years.

Plan your next day meeting or overnight experiences with ease and confidence knowing our reputation for excellent food service, clean and comfortable guest rooms and a beautiful campus. In 2017 the “At the Water’s Edge” guest cottage opened for clergy and laity to book personal escapes for spiritual rest and relaxation.  Call us or come visit to see how Lake Huron Retreat Center can host your faith-based organization, school or not-for-profit.

Bring a friend or two, your favorite craft projects and have an uninterrupted weekend to play, craft and relax. Leave the cooking and cleaning to us! One 6′ table assigned to each person (electricity available) in one of our meeting rooms. Meals served in Kresge Dining Hall. Set your own schedule. Early birds will enjoy one of our amazing sunrises over Lake Huron.
Lodging includes hotel-style guest rooms (linens provided) with small group lounge areas with complimentary coffee/tea and microwave available. Check in begins at 1 pm, Friday. Check out by 3 pm, Sunday.
Optional activities: Borrow one of our games, walk the beach or meditate in prayer labyrinth. Visit local craft stores.

Immerse yourself in a time of spiritual renewal with an introductory retreat to spiritual practices including contemplative prayer, times of silence and guided learning. Enjoy leisurely meals, morning instruction, choose your own adventure afternoons, and a guided practice in the evening. Those new to contemplative practices as well as those more experienced are welcome. Led by Rev. Cora Glass, Rev. Dr. April Gutierrez, and Lisa Batten. This retreat center is a drug and alcohol-free space. Check in begins 9:30 am Monday, Check-out Wednesday 11:30 am. Rev. Ann Emerson will retire at the end of the year as director of Lake Huron Retreat Center after 25 years. Her ministry of hospitality and connecting the world to the grace and love of Jesus Christ have been a blessing to thousands. Help us show our appreciate and send her off to retirement with the love and good wishes she deserves.

This is a weekend for adults with special needs. Previous and prospective God’s Treasures campers are welcome to join us for a weekend version of the summer God’s Treasures Camp. Come for a weekend of winter fun – including Bible stories, crafts, music and much more! There will be a nurse on site the entire weekend to dispense medications as well as a team of volunteers to assist in the care of registered guests.
