Located just north of Port Huron, Michigan, Lake Huron Retreat Center is a full-service adult retreat center dedicated to Christian hospitality connected with the United Methodist Church. You’ll find its popular meeting rooms, chapel, dining hall and guest rooms are comfortable and modern. Plan your next day meeting or overnight experiences with ease and confidence knowing our reputation for excellent food service, clean and comfortable guest rooms and a beautiful campus. Clergy and laity are invited to this 24-hour experience. You’ll be led through prayer and spiritual renewal, encouraged through prayer stations, renewed at our prayer labyrinth. Also built into the schedule will be quiet “alone” time as well as gathering space with others, and activities to nourish the soul. Enjoy optional art activities for your personal reflection.  This is a time for laity and clergy to step away from busy lives to nurture themselves.  Clergy can also use this time for final preparation for Holy Week. Campers experience a variety of activities including crafts, outdoor recreation, swimming, music, drama, and Bible story time.  Our Talent Show is a camp highlight, along with Friday evening’s Awards Ceremony and Dance. Camp concludes  with a Closing Program in Poole Chapel.  Campers stay in Littleton and Ragland Lodges and are assigned counselors according to basic care needs. A questionnaire is sent to applicants and must be returned prior to acceptance into this program.

This retreat experience is designed for men and women ages 65 and older.  Step away from the busyness of everyday life and come to the lakeshore for fellowship, rest and worship.  Bible study music, campfires, outdoor recreation and time for relaxing along the waterfront are all activities built into this mid-week event.  Meals are designed with the senior adult in mind and a nurse is available during the event to assist guests in any way necessary. This overnight retreat is for all adults who love music.  Arrive Friday evening and jump right into rehearsals and fellowship.  Rehearsals continue through Saturday, with a break in the afternoon for enjoying the local sights in the Blue Water area.  The weekend concludes with a special concert in Poole Chapel for the local community.  Retreat fees include a full set of sheet music that covers the liturgical year for each participant.  Single:  $151; Double $126; Triple: $115;  Commuter: $60
