Lake Huron Retreat Center — your peaceful antidote to today’s busy lifestyle. On the “sunrise” side of the “mitten” state, you’ll wake up to expansive views of Lake Huron. Located just north of Port Huron, Michigan, Lake Huron Retreat Center is a full-service adult retreat center dedicated to Christian hospitality connected with the United Methodist Church. You’ll find its popular meeting rooms, chapel, dining hall and guest rooms are comfortable and modern. It has been a place for spiritual renewal and family time for 75 years.

Plan your next day meeting or overnight experiences with ease and confidence knowing our reputation for excellent food service, clean and comfortable guest rooms and a beautiful campus. Create a personalized rhythm of resting and rejoicing for the year ahead. 

Crafting a Rule of Life Retreat guides you through the process of imagining and affirming the practices in your life that act as a “truss”– intentional practices and ways of living that ground you through all life’s ups and downs. Led by Rev. Cora Glass and Rev. Jeff Nelson, your retreat time also includes times for reflection through art and nature. There will be an option for retreat participants to connect through quarterly Zoom gatherings through 2023 to share progress in living out your personal rule of life.  

Cost includes two nights lodging and five meals (Monday dinner; Tuesday breakfast, lunch, and dinner; Wednesday breakfast. Check in Monday starting at 4 pm. Check out Wednesday 10 am.

“Under Construction: Building our lives on Christ” – Our faith in God is always a work in progress! This is a weekend for adults with special needs. Previous and prospective God’s Treasures campers are welcome to join us for a weekend version of the summer God’s Treasures Camp. Come for a weekend of winter fun – including Bible stories, crafts, music and much more! There will be a nurse on site the entire weekend to dispense medications as well as a team of volunteers to assist in the care of registered guests. The spiritual practices of resting and rejoicing take a creative twist in this unique retreat. You’ll be guided through the practice of inquisitive (or intuitive) painting by artist and clergy Rev. Cora Glass. No prior painting experience is necessary and you’ll take home your own unique acrylic paintings. The retreat will also include evening prayer, times of rest, and fellowship with fellow participants. This retreat center is a drug and alcohol-free space. Check in begins Tuesday at 4 pm, Check-out Thursday at 11 am. Optional add-on to arrive Monday beginning 4 pm. Cost includes two nights lodging, five meals and all art supplies.
