2019 RV Campground Events

May 3 & 4   Open Camp Weekend – set up platform tents

FREE camping for volunteers helping to set up camp for the season. Breakfast and Lunch provided May 4.

May 25 – 27   Memorial Weekend Celebration

Possible events include: bike parade kayak racing, an all camp fellowship and Northern Edge gospel concert on the green.

May 28 – June 2   Home School Camp

School-age students and their parents.

June 7 – 9  Family Fishing Weekend

June 7 – 9  Asparagus Festival & 5k in Oceana County

June 15 & 16 Pentwater’s Spring Arts & Craft Festival

July 4 Celebration

Possible events include: bike parade, kayak races, all camp celebration closing with Pentwater fireworks viewed on the beach.

July 11-12 Pentwater Free Boat Safety Course

Aug 1-2 Pentwater Free Boat Safety Course

Aug 8-11 Pentwater Homecoming Weekend

Aug 23-24 Pentwater Annual Sidewalk Sale

Aug 23 – 25 Lake Michigan Camp & Retreat Heritage Weekend: Let Our Lights Shine

Weekend full of events celebrating Lake Michigan Camp & Retreat’s heritage. Possible events include camp wide fellowship, concert, bonfire & bike parade. Campers are encouraged to decorate their campsite and let our lights shine as we celebrate LMC&R’s heritage.

Sept 20 – 22 All Things Fall Weekend

Celebrate the beginning of autumn. Possible activities include pumpkin painting, apple carving, chili cook-off, bonfire and homemade apple butter.

Sept 29 – Oct 5 Last Blast Weekend

Take advantage of half-price camping before the platform tents are taken down.

Oct 5 Prep the Camp for Winter – take down platform tents

Assist with preparing the camp for the cold winter months ahead. Breakfast and lunch provided.

Today’s walk to the south beach shows that the walkway/bridge (put in place this summer) has been overtaken by water.

The good news: the “drop off ledge” by the lake is gone...as is most of the dune grass.

Time will tell what next summer’s beach will be!
