Lake Huron with adirondack chairs. Rest for the Healers Event

First responders have worked tirelessly these last two years in an unprecedented time in our country, and we are grateful. We know you’re tired. Your souls need a time of rest and renewal.

Rest for the Healers are two affordable opportunities this summer for first responders to come to the lakeshore for a time of solitude and healing. Spend time walking our prayer stations and outdoor labyrinth. Enjoy a sunrise on the beach in one of our Adirondack chairs. Relax while we prepare good food for you. Bring a good book and breathe in the fresh air.

Rest for the Healers is designed for first responders, such as firefighters, law enforcement personnel, medical personnel, utility workers and public health professionals.

Cost: $60 per person (single occupancy). This very special rate is thanks, in part, to financial support from the Michigan Annual Conference of the United Methodist Church.

Includes:

  • Two-nights, single occupancy in hotel-style guest rooms
  • Five meals in Kresge Dining Room overlooking Lake Huron
  • Self-guided creative and contemplation stations
  • Optional group activities

Thank You! Thank you for all you’ve done and continue to do for your community. Space is limited and available on a first-come basis. Register today to confirm your spot! Use the link to register online or call the registrar 989-534-6587.
