Hurricane Relief Results

Students from Ross Pope’s Clinton County RESA Construction Trades Class helped pack and load relief supplies at our St. Johns office.

Michigan Area United Methodist Camping sites collected hurricane relief supplies for cleaning buckets and hygiene kits for two weeks. Thank you to all those churches and organizations that participated!

Volunteers from Lexington UMC helped organize and load supplies at Lake Huron Retreat Center.

The United Methodist Committee on Relief (UMCOR) will distribute the supplies to those affected by the recent storms. UMCOR is one of the first relief agencies on the ground in domestic and international crises.

Dozens of boxes and hundreds of kits were collected at seven Michigan Area UM Camping sites, and are now on their way to UMCOR’s Midwest Mission Distribution Center in Chatham, Illinois, thanks to the generosity of Corrigan Moving. While this collection drive is over, groups or individuals can still donate to UMCOR by visiting its website. Funds given to UMCOR go directly to relief efforts. All administrative costs are covered by the United Methodist Church.
