Location: Wesley Woods Camp & Retreat, Dowling, MI

Part-time year-round, on call during Summer Camp. Responsible for cleaning up after Retreats and Summer Camps. Duties include sweeping, moping, dusting, cleaning restrooms, taking out trash, washing linens and refilling paper products (soap; etc.). Come work in the Woods and enjoy camp life. Let’s GO!

Enjoy the summer making a difference in the lives of young people at camp! Provide delicious, healthy meals for the summer camp program of Grace Outside. The Assistant Head Cook helps in the planning and implementation of three meals per day for resident campers and staff, including supervision of seasonal part-time kitchen help. Hours are flexible to suit your schedule and ours.

Support staff help make summer camp happen! You’ll help in a variety of ways including work with program set-up and leadership, kitchen help, maintenance and housekeeping. Work is flexible in days and hours and involves teamwork with fun colleagues! It’s a great way to spend the summer making a difference, gaining self-confidence, working outdoors and making new friends!

Exciting summer job opportunity to share and sharpen a variety of skills including working with children and youth, program development, food service, housekeeping, maintenance and, most importantly, leadership with peers and volunteers in life-changing summer camp experiences. More than just a summer job, the internship is real — with supervision, training, and ongoing support throughout the summer. The interns form a community on site and online as the summer develops. A three-day on-boarding overnight retreat begins the experience and deepens knowledge and relationships. Training begins in June and assignments run 10 weeks (with room for some flexibility as your schedule may require)

Location: Local Church Day Camp Sites

Help run day camp for children at church sites (2023 sites were United Methodist Churches in West Branch, Port Huron and Utica). Camps include crafts, games, activities, Bible lessons, and more. Interns will be trained in all aspects of day camp including curriculum, child safety, instruction, programs, and more.

Summer Camp Interns work with their supervisor, coworkers and other interns throughout the summer, tailor their learning experiences to their interests, receive specialized training, and support each other through weekly check-ins.
