Myers Lake Upgrades & Eagle Scout Project

Eagle Scout Adds Accessibility

Myers Lake Campground is thankful to Zach Miller of Boy Scout Troup 212 for his Eagle Scout project that built accessibility ramps to our four lakefront cabins. Outstanding work, Zach! We are proud and grateful!

Phase 2 Upgrades Complete

Our hardworking crew has wrapped up phase 2 of the campground’s water and electrical upgrades, and is just waiting on the state inspector. Phase 2 brought higher amp electric and individual water hook up to family sites 29-59. Together phases 1 and 2 bring family sites 1-59 up to 20/30/50 amp services and water hook ups to accommodate today’s modern campers.

Next up is phase 3 of the upgrade, which will improve electrical service to Group Areas 1 and 2.

It’s been anticipated for at least 10 years, and thanks to the commitment of the Michigan Area United Methodist Camping Board of Directors, these electrical upgrades will bring 20/30/50 amp service and water service to the entire park. When the water and electrical work is complete, sewer hook-ups will be established for about 10 sites.
With these improvements, RV campers of all sizes will be able to camp comfortably, run their air conditioners and cook dinner without fear of blowing a fuse. We’re excited to be able to offer these services! Thank you to our guests for their patience during construction.
