Fall & Winter Events
The camps of the Michigan Conference have announced their fall and winter events. From a new confirmation rally to the return of favorite winter camps and women’s retreats, your Children and Youth ministries, Men’s and Women’s ministries, and more will find a powerful way to connect to the Power of Camp.

2019 EVENTS (Youth & Adults)
|Sept. 6-7||Adult Choir Retreat—Lake Huron Retreat Center||Enjoy an overnight retreat for adults who love music. Arrive Friday evening and jump right into rehearsals and fellowship. Rehearsals continue through Saturday, with a break in the afternoon for enjoying the local sights. The weekend concludes with a special concert for the local community. Retreat fees include a full set of sheet music that covers the liturgical year for each participant. Single: $151; Double $126; Triple: $115; Commuter: $60|
|Sept. 20-22||Fall Extravaganza—Lakeview Family Campground||Kick off you Fall Festivities with a fun camping trip! Saturday: Hay rides, cider and donuts, pumpkin painting, crafts, trick or treating, costume contest (children and pets!), games, best decorated campsite contest. |Sept. 20-22||All Things Fall—Lake Michigan Camp & Retreat||Celebrate the beginning of autumn at the campground. Possible activities include pumpkin painting, apple carving, chili cook-off, bonfire and homemade apple butter. RV, tent and cabin sites available. 231-869-5317|
|Oct. 3-6||Spiritual Scrapbooking Retreat—Wesley Woods Camp & Retreat Center||Set time aside for scrapbooking in Wesley Woods’ spacious Dining Hall. Cost $TBD includes meals, snacks and lodging.|
|Oct. 5||Confirmation Rally—Judson Collins Camp & Retreat Center||Praise music, engaging speakers, hands on workshops, and camp fun to add another dynamic level to your confirmation program. $20 per student includes lunch and day programming. Make it a one night retreat for an additional $30/pp, (adult chaperones required and FREE). 1 adult required for each gender for housing purposes, max 8 guests per room.|
|Oct. 11-13||Take Another Step—a Singles/Single Again Retreat — Lake Michigan Camp & Retreat||Adult singles save this date for a special retreat just for you! Details coming soon! You’ll find inspiration and joy through fellowship, beautiful scenery and guest speakers Rev. Tim Broyles, from Dexter UMC, and Rev. Mandy Baldwin, from Indianapolis, Indiana.

|Nov 8-10||Women’s Craft Retreat—Judson Collins Camp & Retreat Center||You deserve to relax and be spoiled on the shores of Wampler Lake in Southeast Michigan’s beautiful Irish Hills. Enjoy an entire weekend of crafts just in time for holiday gift-giving, delicious food you don’t have to cook, and refreshing worship for your soul. Bring your own projects and/or enjoy any of our optional craft projects. Everyone welcome.|
2020 EVENTS (Youth & Adults)
|Jan 18-20||Snow Zone (Grades 6-12)—Judson Collins Camp & Retreat Center||You don’t have to wait for summer to have fun at Judson Collins! Snow Zone at Judson Collins puts a winter twist on camp: with tubing, a snow sculpture contest, a live worship band and great speakers to lift you up for the new year, plus your favorite camp games, a hot cocoa bar and extreme snow cones! Come with your youth group or on your own. $135/person individual (we provide chaperones), or $115/person for groups of five or more (adult chaperones required and FREE). 1 adult required for each gender for housing purposes, max 8 guests per room.|
|Jan. 17-18||Winter Blast (College ages) Wesley Woods Camp & Retreat Center||Whether you’re in college, working, both, or none, come camp and build on your foundation of faith and learn how to shape our whole lives around Jesus. Plus, winter favorites, including broomball, human bowling, curling, tubing, and sledding. $60|
|Jan. 24-25||Winter Blast (High School)—Wesley Woods Camp & Retreat Center||Come have a blast in the snow, play lots of games, make new friends and reconnect with old ones, and get in some great worship. Bring your youth group or come on your own. The more friends, the more fun! $60|
|Feb. 7-8||Winter Blast (Middle School)—Wesley Woods Camp & Retreat Center||Who says camp is just for summer? You’ll love the fun found at Winter Blast and find new ways to connect with God and friends! $60|
|Feb. 14-16||High School Winter Retreat– Lake Michigan Camp & Retreat||Celebrate the winter wonderland at Lake Michigan Camp! Meet new friends, snow tubing, ice broom, re-energize your relationship with God. $135/individual, $115 if you bring 5+ people.|
|Feb. 21-22||Winter Blast (Elementary)—Wesley Woods Camp & Retreat Center||Who says camp is just for summer? You’ll love the fun found at Winter Blast and find new ways to connect with God and friends! Grades 3-5 $60|
|Feb. 14-16||God’s Treasures Winter Weekend—Lake Huron Retreat Center||This weekend retreat is designed for adults with special needs. Come and enjoy crafts, music, Bible stories, worship and much more! A nurse and experienced counselors will be here to care for guests. Cost is $170 per person and includes 2 nights lodging, 4 meals, snacks and craft supplies.|
|March 13-15||Men’s Retreat —Judson Collins Camp & Retreat Center||All men, all ages, all camp challenges: wall climb, ninja course, hiking, and steak cookout. More details to come. $125 per person.|
