New Site Directors Announced
We are pleased to welcome two couples serving as ministry teams to be site directors for Michigan Area United Methodist Camping. “These couples bring wonderful gifts and enthusiasm for the camping ministry and we look forward to welcoming them very soon,” said Rev. George Ayoub, Executive Director, in announcing the new hires.
Judson Collins Center (Onsted)
Trisha and Greg Farrell come to us from Camp Berea in Hebron, NH, with an anticipated arrival date of May 19. They bring combined strengths in Program, Operations, Management, Finance and Food Service. They have three children.
Greg and Trish are bubbling with ideas on developing programs and the facility to reach more campers and guests. They can’t wait to get started!
Judson Collins, on beautiful Wamplers Lake, is a year-round facility offer summer family and youth camps, plus retreat facilities for use by churches, groups and organizations.
Lake Michigan Camp & Retreat Center (Pentwater)
Dana and Duane Hunt join us from Ceta Canyon Camp and Retreat Center in Happy, Texas. They bring their strengths in Operations, Management, Finance, Capital Campaigns, Facilities, and Guest Services. Their children are grown, and they thoroughly enjoy being grandparents.
Duane and Dana are excited about the potential for ministry for Christ at Lake Michigan. They are so looking forward to meeting our volunteers that they plan to arrive by May 4, to be a part of the Camp Spring Cleanup May 4-6.
Lake Michigan Camp, with a half-mile of beachfront on the Great Lake, offers summer youth camps, plus traditional RV/tent/cabin campgrounds and retreat facilities for use by individuals, families, churches, groups and organizations.
