Giving Tuesday Campaign Raises Money for Camp Scholarships

Dear Friends of Michigan Area United Methodist Camping,
We are so excited to share with you a wonderful new season of summer camp in 2019! The annual brochure listing nearly 100 fun- and faith-filled summer events will be mailed to prospective campers and to churches early in the new year. Watch for it – and look forward to finding your perfect summer camp!
Each year, we speak with church leaders and parents whose children want to experience the rich joys of summer camp. But for some families the full registration fee is unattainable. Michigan Area United Methodist Camping values the ability to assist those with stated financial need. We know for a fact that Camp Changes Lives. Last year our Scholarship Fund helped over 250 campers attend. Now that fund is running low and needs your help.
The Changing Lives Scholarship Fund comes from one source: the generosity of donors. Would you consider making a gift today – to help ensure that all who want to come to camp seeking faith “even as small as a mustard seed” may do so? To be able to nurture those seeds of faith is one of our finest privileges as Kingdom-builders.
The ministry of Christian Camping is unlike any other. Against God’s majestic backdrops of sunshine, starry skies, evergreen forest, and sparkling water, peers and their adult role models play, sing, work, and worship together. They form a strong bond as a community of faith. Eyes are opened and hearts are changed. Lifelong friends are made. Camping is a ministry well worthy of your gift of any size.
