RETREAT LEADERS

TIm Broyles

Rev. Tim Broyles

Tim leads the Adult Discipleship ministry at Dexter United Methodist Church with a focus on life groups and Sunday school classes so that all adults have the opportunity to deepen their walk with God and their relationship with others along the journey.

Originally from Muncie, Indiana, Tim was part of the same United Methodist congregation for 25 years, and graduated from Ball State University in business. Tim later responded to a call to ministry, served in several para-church youth ministries, was ordained in the Church of God (Anderson) and served on the pastoral staff at a church in Indianapolis for 12 years. He has a young adult son who is studying film at the Interlochen Arts Academy near Traverse City.

Tim is an author of a book on grief, written following the ending of a 28-year marriage. He turned the pain into an opportunity to bless others who experience loss via death, divorce, or other griefs. Tim and his new bride, Sharon moved to the Pinckney area in May 2017 and love living near the water. They both enjoy camping, hiking and biking, boating and lake life; outdoor life in general. Tim’s greatest joy is reflecting the amazing grace available to all and helping people take steps toward the hope and love of Jesus

Mandy Baldwin

Rev. Amanda Baldwin

Mandy is a Licensed Marriage and Therapist Associate at a Christian counseling practice working primarily with couples and teens. In her first career, Mandy was a pastor for over 15 years working mainly with youth and their families. It was during that time she felt God calling her into counseling and she went to Indiana Wesleyan University and received her Master’s in Counseling.

Mandy seeks to come alongside couples as they seek to create a lasting bond. She is trained in Emotion Focused Couples Therapy and has seen how creating emotional connection brings greater intimacy and relationship satisfaction.

Tim and Mandy are thrilled to be collaborating again for this special retreat. Tim describes Mandy as “one of the most healthy and transparent Christian singles that I have known over the years.”
